What you need
- White-faced sublimation-ready neoprene product
- A mirrored sublimation print
- Heat press and clean protective paper
- Heat-resistant tape when needed
Step-by-step
1
Check the printable face
Identify the coated white polyester side and measure the flat printable area.
2
Prepare the artwork
Mirror the design and add a small bleed for edge-to-edge products.
3
Clean and flatten
Remove lint and ensure seams, zips or hook-and-loop closures do not sit under the heated area.
4
Position the print
Place it face-down and secure it without pulling or stretching the neoprene.
5
Protect and press
Use clean paper above and below and follow the supplier’s recommended settings.
6
Cool flat
Move the item carefully to a clean flat surface and allow it to cool before folding or using it.
Common problems
| Problem | Likely cause | Try this |
|---|---|---|
| Image looks stretched | Neoprene was tensioned | Press it in its relaxed shape |
| Pale edge | Artwork or contact was incomplete | Add bleed and check flat contact |
| Surface is shiny | Too much heat or pressure | Reduce carefully and retest |
