What you need
- A polyester sublimation-ready cover or pillowcase
- A mirrored sublimation print
- Heat press and clean protective paper
- Pressing pad and lint roller
Step-by-step
1
Measure the cover
Plan the artwork for the flat printable panel and allow space around seams and zips.
2
Prepare the artwork
Mirror the design and print it at the correct finished size.
3
Remove lint and moisture
Lint-roll the cover and pre-press briefly when recommended.
4
Protect all layers
Insert protective paper inside the cover and place the printable panel on a pressing pad.
5
Align and press
Place the transfer face-down and use the product supplier’s recommended settings.
6
Cool and finish
Remove the paper cleanly, allow the cover to cool and insert the cushion inner afterward.
Common problems
| Problem | Likely cause | Try this |
|---|---|---|
| Ink appears on the back | No paper was inserted | Protect between the layers |
| Pale line near zip | Uneven pressure | Move the zip off the base or use a pad |
| Tiny blue marks | Lint was present | Lint-roll carefully before pressing |
