Step-by-step
1
Set up the page
Choose the correct media and printer page size in Silhouette Studio.
2
Add registration marks
Turn on the marks and keep every design inside the safe print-and-cut area.
3
Create cut lines
Add an offset or cut outline and choose kiss-cut or full-cut settings for the project.
4
Print without scaling
Print at actual size and allow the ink to dry before loading the sheet.
5
Load the sheet
Place it straight on the mat or load it as directed, with the registration marks oriented correctly.
6
Detect and cut
Allow the cutter to read the marks, run a test cut when possible and then send the job.
Common problems
| Problem | Likely cause | Try this |
|---|---|---|
| Marks are not detected | Lighting, glare or loading is poor | Reload straight and reduce glare |
| Cut is offset | Page scaling or calibration is wrong | Print at actual size and calibrate |
| Backing cuts through | Blade or force is too high | Reduce settings and test again |
