What you need
- Shoes manufactured with sublimation-ready printable panels
- Mirrored sublimation prints
- Suitable small heat press or approved heating attachment
- Protective paper, tape and heat-resistant supports
Step-by-step
1
Plan each panel
Measure every printable section separately and keep artwork away from seams, eyelets and rubber edges.
2
Prepare the shoe
Remove laces when needed, clean the panels and insert a firm heat-safe support.
3
Print and trim
Mirror the artwork and trim each transfer so it fits its matching panel.
4
Position securely
Place the print face-down and tape it without creating folds.
5
Press one area at a time
Use the supplier’s recommended settings and protect all nearby materials from direct heat.
6
Cool and finish
Allow each panel to cool before moving to the next, then replace laces and inspect all edges.
Common problems
| Problem | Likely cause | Try this |
|---|---|---|
| Pale area near seam | Uneven pressure | Use a smaller support and reposition |
| Rubber marks or distortion | Unprotected material received heat | Shield non-printable parts carefully |
| Panels do not match | Artwork alignment differs | Use one labelled template per panel |
